It’s that time of year again that sends the fashion world in a frenzy of catwalks, cocktails and new collections. London Fashion Week kicks off tomorrow and we will be blogging live throughout the day keeping you in the know of A/W13 emerging trends. It only seems like yesterday that we were drooling over newest shoe designer Sophia Webster who was showing in the Topshop galleries of Somerset House and now we see her in Stylist magazines top picks for this summer!

Her collection consists of designs inspired from Clueless to Narnia showing her spirited and adventurous personality that everyone is talking about. We have put together our most colourful watches to compliment her playful style so make sure your matching your accessories to your shoes for ultra impact.

What pancakes will you be making today?!

We are so excited to make pancakes after work tonight! but which ones to make is the question.

Do we over indulge, have a little bit of sugar or keep with the new years resolution and stay healthy?

We've found some great recipes to give you the option!:

Deviously Indulgent

Bramley Apple Pancakes with Toffee Sauce and Yogurt (or ice cream to be extra devilish!)

Ingredients

50g butter

225g self-raising flour

2 tsp baking powder

50g caster sugar

175ml buttermilk

2 medium eggs

175ml full-cream milk

500g Bramley apples

1 tsp vanilla extract

Greek-style natural yogurt, to serve

For the toffee sauce

50g unsalted butter

50g light muscovado sugar

2 tbsp golden syrup

2 tbsp double cream

A Touch of Sugar:

For the pancake mixture

110g/4oz plain flour, sifted

pinch of salt

2 eggs

200ml/7fl oz milk mixed with 75ml/3fl oz water

50g/2oz butter

To serve

caster sugar

lemon juice

lemon wedges

1/2 cup Eggbeaters

1/2 cup rolled oats

1 banana, sliced

Chinese New Year

2013 is the year of the black Snake and is meant for steady progress and attention to detail. It is the enigmatic, intuitive and refined of all the animals.

The Chinese believe that the animals hold common characteristics of people born in the year of the snake. These include a thoughtful nature; a wise approach to problems solved rationally and logically and of very few words? Not the most common attributes you would believe actually belong to a snake!

A colour is also often associated to the animal and others that bring it luck. Black is the colour of darkness, the night sky, and deep waters and with this they believe will bring people unexpected changes and changeability. The lucky colours are yellow and red and we have selected our favourite watches that have that sleek snake like appearance that will gently slip onto your wrist!

Whether you’re in touch with your spiritual side or not it makes for an interesting read!

Only a week to go until the fashion madness begins!

We cant wait to see what LFW has in store for us all, we are so keen to find out that we have been checking the events schedule!

On Day One- Friday the 15th February we are excited that the Stephen Jones Headonism is being hosted by the man behind the magic himself-Stephen Jones.

Stephen's millinery always wows us as he creates innovative and quirky designs that always manage to turn heads!

We are also very intrigued to see the latest collection from Louise Gray on Monday 18th of February.

Louise's designs always create a presence within the room as her forward thinking designs step out of the ordinary agenda.

We absolutely love the quirkiness of this look, from the wacky make-up to the oversized earrings, Louise Gray's designs and catwalk shows never fails to stand out from the crowd.

Fancy bringing a new lease of life to a Watch Face thats strap has had its day?

We found a fascinating article in WatchPro about Nato Watch Straps, they are available in a wide range of colours and styles to compliment whatever watch face you wish!

The Nato style watch strap originated in the UK and are still made today by the same company that founded them- Phoenix Straps in Cardiff.

The straps are made using a high-spec webbing that is sonic welded, this method ensures that the watch straps are hard wearing within all environments.

The original Nato straps are now highly in fashion and are used by many fashion watch brands which endeavor to take a contemporary approach towards the design of the straps.

Leading watch brands such as Seiko and Timex have joined in with the Nato strap trend and we can proudly say that we stock a Seiko that fits the Nato style.

The 6 Nations Rugby kicked off last week and so is the time when we loose our boyfriends, husbands, brothers and sons to the great game. With three matches already played, round 1 winner belongs to us!! Well we are the highest in the table anyway - lets just hope we can hang onto the lead this weekend when the mighty Scots take on the underdogs of Italy and England take on Ireland at the Aviva Stadium.

Radio One Big Weekender !

Exciting Music News!!

Radio One have just announced that their big Weekender will be held in Derry with headline act Olly Murs!

This year is sure to be bigger and better! This is the first time the weekender has been held in the same city twice as it was previously held in Derry in 2004.

Other acts announced that will also be performing include Two Door Cinema Club, other acts will be announced soon.

The exciting event is due to take place on May 24-26, we can't wait!

Details of how to get tickets will come in the next few weeks.

Mono doesn't have to mean boring

Back and white has been pretty much thee staple colour in every girls wardrobe since about 16. Whether it was your first pair of skinny black jeans or leather jacket this look is nothing new to us but it’s probably the most wearable and easy on the purse. This will give you the perfect excuse to pick up some fresh accessories to add to all those black and white numbers you've acquired over the last few months and even update old ones!

This classic colour combination was hot for Autumn/ Winter and will still continue to a strong force for Spring /Summer this year. Fashion Forward is an amazing platform for emerging designers to be part of. Launched in 2009 the organisation supponsed by Ebay Fashion gives the lucky winners development for their businesses as well as a chance to showcase their collections at London Fashion Week!

This years outstandingly talented winners were:

David Koma

Michael Van Der Ham

& Holly Fulton

Each designer has an array of beautiful designs throughout their collections which remain to stay innovative and unique.

David Koma wowed us with his bold use of structure as you can clearly see this coming through with this gorgeous pure white number:

David describes his ideal client as: “Powerful and confident.”

Michael Van Der Ham is renowned for his bold graphical prints, this dangerously daring print proves why this is his signature detailing:

Michael describes his ideal client as “Someone who's not afraid to wear something a little more bold.”

Holly Fulton shows as another side to "The Girly Girl", she cleverly takes a floral print or a floaty dress and makes them uniquely bold and daring.
